Is anyone still waiting for their cash back claim to be paid from January?

Hi,

I am waiting but only claimed 1st February by post. Got emailed to advise would take 30 days for cheque to arrive.

EDIT - just checked website and cheque was due to be issued 21st March.

They supposedly posted my cheque to wrong address in January, still waiting after various emails!
 
Hi

I also registered and did not get a payout and Canon are claiming that they have no record of my registering. I didnt get a confirmation email and nowhere in the site did it say to check for one.

Only reason i bought the lens now was that I was going to get the cashback. Very unimpressed with Canon.

Anyone else cheated out of their cashback?
 
I am still waiting for my cheque from Canon. Enquired and received an email reply on 5th April to say it had been posted but could take up to 14 days to arrive. I shall make sure the pigeon is fed and watered when it brings it in that case!

Is anyone still waiting?
 
My £20 on a 50mm f1.4 took weeks but did eventually come though.

My cheque arrived today, made out to the wrong name! I mailed this evening and got a very prompt apology and instructions on how to sort it.

You were lucky and received it in error. I presume someone processing the cashback applications failed to notice the HK receipt.

Every Canon cashback has had similar terms to the current one.

1.4 All products must be purchased within the UK or ROI from a UK or ROI retailer and must have been supplied and distributed to retailers by Canon UK Ltd or Canon group companies located in the European Economic Area.

Please check with your retailer that this is the case to help avoid disappointment.
1.5 All products must be new and genuine Canon products.

Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion.

1.6 Specific seller exclusions: Products purchased from ebay, whether listed as new or otherwise, will not be eligible for this promotion.

Products purchased from third party sellers on Amazon (i.e not from Amazon directly) whether fulfilled by Amazon or not, will not be eligible for this promotion.

Just ahad a email from Canon informing me that they have sent the cash back cheque, but please allow 14 days for dilevery... How have they sent it Via Pigeon post ????

Probably just a case of "under promise, over deliver", RM always quote 14 days before a postal item is considered lost, probably the only reason Canon say that.

Even 2nd Class is max 5 days, I'm sure it will be with you a lot quicker than a fortnight.
