AAARRRGGGGHHHHH.
Why oh why didn't I read the feedback history before I bid??
So I won my auction (EF 50mm 1.4) on Sunday 18th.
Great.. went to pay and both payment options sent me to a page with an eBay logo and the helpful message "No error message found".
I emailed thinking okay it'll be sorted on Monday.
Almost two weeks later and despite emails and phone calls no-one has been able to tell me anything except "it's being looked into" until today..
"We are contacting you in relation to your recent bid for {eBay item number} on the Canon eBay UK Outlet. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue in our system, we are unable to complete an order for your bid.
We do not have any solution which we can offer you at present.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
We thank you for your patience and understanding."
I'm not feeling very patient or understanding and given that I won at a good price I'm not inclined to let my winning bid drop and take it up directly with eBay and Canon UK.
I don't suppose anyone has any contacts at Canon that could get me to the right person?
Digital River are a bunch of jokers and it seems their operation of the eBay store is doing a big disservice to Canon..
Paul.
