Yes
I've tried the Canon software and it's fine but before I go spending hours trying this and that I thought I would ask here first.

Ideally I would like to take the pic and have it auto appear on the laptop in full screen mode, Fastone would be great but I'm all ears.

Lightroom 3 does it, not sure about full screen mode

i use canon software and fastzone.. pic appears full screen in fastzone as soon as you take it.. you can then tag or whatever and keep taking more...

We just loaded the canon software-updated it from there site and plugged the D7 into my Mac laptop usb port.

Followed the onscreen instructions.

A doddle! 1000 frames later, images chosen edited in PS and published.

A lot of images taken using remote release from laptop and editing done as we went on other mac using shared HDD.

No additional software required.

Hope that helps.

OOOOOPS! Sorry 'full screen', just used the single view for each shot at about 2/3 rds the 17" screen. Good enough for focus/colour/content etc. and checked again on other screen prior to edit.

Perfect, works great!

My iMac is about 3m away from the camera .. How can I use this feature?

3m USB cable?
