Canon software question

Hi, OK this is doing me in. I have a small laptop that I want to take with me in the field along with a Canon 600D so when I take a photo at night I can view it on the larger screen and so far it has in the house worked great BUT!!! I cannot figure out how to make it write to the SD card in camera as well as to the laptop. Why would I want the images on the SD Card? so I can download them to my main photo computer via a fire-wire reader.

If you are using EOS utilitys... preferences,remote shooting, click save also on camera memory card
