Hi, Im looking at buying a canon s95 to take travelling as its small and i dont have much space for a DSLR,

Looking about in the UK, they seem to go for about £330, but while looking on ebay i notice i can get one delivered for £230!. It says the item will be sent from Hongkong which doesnt seem like an issue.

here is the link :

Has anyone used this seller before?, ive learned to be suspicious of everything online which seems to good to be true, like the earphones i bought last week which turned out to be fake, surely you cant get fake camera's ?.

any advice would be great.

Might have to pay import/vat.

Below is from their ebay listing:

"Legal Efforts are made to reduce applicable import duties (or GTS or V.A.T. or other Taxes) in various countries, and in most cases there is little or none payable. However, this auction excludes such fees (if applicable). If you are purchasing the item as a gift, please make sure to inform us so that we can mark the customs papers accordingly. We will do the best we can in order to legally minimize your VAT exposure on your request. Under any circumstances, we will not be responsible for taxes (VAT)."

hmmm, im guessing 20% vat, so £46, £276 total. still cheaper than anywhere else.

Remember to add the processing fee or whatever it's called. Probably about £15

its only 299 in jessops
maybe less if you use a cashback site

Thanks for that; been a while since it was under £300. Have you reserved to collect in the morning.

However, rumours seem to suggest that a replacement will be out soon. Wonder if it's worth the wait?
