Hi all,
I recently posted a thread about my Canon S110 producing strange colours on the pictures , I've been toying with the idea of replacing it but as far as I can work out the closest thing to it is the Sony RX100 at around £270.00.
I was trawling for any answers to my problem when I came across this company- http://www.camerarepairdirect.co.uk/
I filled in a form and they reckon they can repair it for a cost of around £80.
They will fit a new sensor and re-assemble the lens
Question is this a;-does anyone have any experience of this company or suggest an alternative and b; Is it worth it or shall I put the £80 towards a new cam (bearing in mind I don't really want to spend £270 !)
What would you do??

That's too much to spend on repairs to an older compact.
You could look at replacement S100 S110 S120 used from ebay for not much more.
I have the S100 myself and do rather like it mainly for being so tiny.
However if it broke I'd probably look at something with a bigger sensor.
