Dear all,
I have had a 400d since 2006. I love the camera; it has been all over the world with me. Initially, I parted with the standard kit lens and and bought a 17-85 and used that for a few years this was coupled with another lens for longer telephoto. As the years went on, I found the bulk of the SLR to be a bit annoying, therefore opted for a 18-200 all in one. I know this has a compromise on quality, therefore I found myself carrying a 24mm and a 50mm with me at certain times. Recently, I have been using the 24mm more and more, and coupled with the fact we have a newborn (12 days old!) I have been using the 400d more and more to get snaps. The 400D is a bit noisy as we are mainly shooting indoors, therefore I was looking at potential upgrades.
A friend has loaned me his 5d a few times, in short I was impressed with the quality, therefore I was looking at something potentially with a full frame, but in a small body. Sites like MPB have the 5d MK2/MK3 listed for a very reasonable price, what are these like in 2021? I have also seen the Canon RP and Sony A7. The RP was launched in 2019 therefore is fairly up to date, however, the A7 does get good reviews too.
My preference for staying with Canon is my Sigma 100-300 f4 and Sigma 150mm f2.8 are outstanding lenses and I wouldn't want to lose them. My Dad used to shoot with Canon back in the day, therefore there was a 'family affiliation' with Canon.
Ideally, my preferences are:

Ideally, my preferences are:
- Whatever platform, I would like to have a 'walk around' lens - I've read that the Sony 'kit' lens is supposedly reasonable quality
- Body stabilisation would be great - I think the later Series A7 has this?
- Good video quality - The RP does 4k but its cropped... does this matter?
- Low noise - Shooting at ISO400 with my current 400d yields noisy images - I assume most newer cameras will handle noise much better than the 400d
- A good second hand market - I tend never to buy new unless its something smaller e.g. when I purchased my 24mm / 50mm lens.
