Canon roadshow

Just got back from the Warehouse Express / Canon Pro roadshow.

Had a play with a 40D, a 5D, a 1D Mk III and a 1DS Mk III

lenses 85mm f1.2L, 17-40L, 300IS f4 L, 300IS f2.8 L and 400mm f4? L and a tilt/shift lens

If I had a credit card, it would be maxed out by now.

I'm avoiding it for the same reason as Mitch, and one of the venues is just up the road from me.

Well you're kit isn't exactly shabby either.

18 months ago I almost bought a L lens from someone locally. I went to inspect the lens and he showed me his 1D Mk II and let me have a play with it, so it was then I became aware of the difference in build quality, feel and so on.

I have told others not to contemplate holding one because camera-envy and lust would set in then.

I was impressed with the feel of the new 1D's.

Good event, not crowded, nice selection. Glad I went, although I went with my eyes already widened from my previous encounter...

I avoided them too for the same reasons (I'm not a girl that loves to spend btw but you know what I mean )
