Hmm, Like a lot of people I'm caught up in the RF200-800 vs RF100-500 vs RF800 pickle, so I ordered the RF800 as I've seen some great shot with it, but, also some awful ones. Took it out this morning, and yes, nailed some super sharp shots which at 800mm is amazing for a lens at this price, but, an awful lot of duff shots, and forget birds in flight, 800m is hard enough anyway but the autofocus just struggled too much, you'd need a good clear run with good contrast to nail it. So, sort of made my mind upm but it is cheap, light, small, but then, having spent so much on kit, you want the majority of photo's to be good don't you? Agghh, such a hard choice....

All three JPEG straight OOC no editing standard rendering...

I think it could be a fun lens if you just like exploring around or doing a bit of freelance intelligence work...
I have a feeling it absolutely tops out at around original r6, and forget corners

If its any help I took this today (bare in mind it was taken in a forest at about 6.45pm when it was dark and rainy.

It was taken with the 100-500 and the 1.4x RF TC @700mm. Granted it did need de-noising at 100% (and compensating about +2 stops) but should give you an example of what is possible. Although the compression algorithms here may impact it... happy to send over or put on google drive if you want
