canon repair centres

Elstree have always been good for me, fixed price or specific pride depending on what needs doing and do good deals if you have cps membership.

Try Lehman,s in Stoke. Just had a 24-70 lens repaired and serviced by them. Fantastic service, they organise pick up and drop off, mine was picked up on a Tuesday and was back to me by the Friday. Will obviously depend on what parts are required. But give them a call

I have always had superb service from Elstree, with them even replacing parts free of charge with no prompting.

I ahve had nothing but trouble from Lehman,s in Stoke ..wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.. You already know about elstree so why would you need anywhere else.. if the other camera repair centers get stuck then they have to refer back to elstree so why not go straight there ? :)

I didn't realise if any where had issues they refer to Elstree. I shall give them a call. Thanks for the info all.

I'd second Canon at Elstree. The back screen on my 5d2 developed a lines. Went off to them on a Tuesday and was back on the Friday. It was done under warranty and when it came back they had also replaced the sensor as they decided it wasn't up to par. Great service, even came back with a video of their office in my card [emoji3]

Why send it to anyone else but Canon Elstree. I don't go to anywhere else because I prefer it to be repaired or inspected at Canon themselves.

They do fixed price for some lenses and they fix everything wrong with it, of course some lenses might not need much done so they win some loose some, as the customer if you have a lens that you know needs a lot doing you win, search their website for details. I had a really poorly 28/135 they repaired under fixed price scheme and it was a bargain price repair done really well.

If Canon Elstree is there, then why to think about anything else as canon themselves is best option to get the repairing done.

Spoke to them today, no fixed price repair for a 7dmk2, but I'm probably lokking around an hours labour plus part, (the built in flash button has packed up and camera keeps showing busy) so about £150 as a general idea, assuming theres nothing more when they get it. Looks like my local lce send direct to elstree, so can save the postage costs.
