I have the above A3 printer which I purchased 3 years ago at the NEC Photography Show, I haven’t used it for 12 months as the inks ran out and I had a heart attack when I saw the cost of replacements.
Question is, does anyone know how to purge the inks in the printer so I can replace the cassettes with new inks and have I left it too long to even bother, will the ink residue set solid?
I woukd like to have another go at printing with this but it’s no point buying the inks which cost in the £100,s unless I know it will work. Any advice gratefully received

I take it you can’t run the cleaning utilities with empty cartridges. Is there a cheap compatible set you can get and install to try. Given the cost of the printer I’d give it a go.

Ah !!

Just did a search. Seems there are no compatible cartridges. An email to Canon support then.

Thanks for this, though it doesn’t look promising, I will give Octolinkjet a call

Im in a similar situation and I have a thread on it . I bought cheap inks just to push through it and can't get it to work (blocked) I now don't want to take the gamble on canon inks
