I have always used Epson printers but have finally got fed up with blocked nozzles. having done my research I have bought a Canon P4850 printer. Once the Canon cartridges run out I would like to use a continuous ink system or refillable cartridges. I would like some honest opinions about City Ink Express and which system to go for.
 
Hi i have an canon pro9000 with an city ink express cis system The prints are fantastic also the colour match is pity good but i now get my paper from premajet papers and the prints are so good

the only problem i have had is with the tubes to the print head came off so got some clips from amazon and its fine now

Hi don't know wether this helps i use city express for my refillable cartridges my printer is canon ip4700 i also had the ink from there the colours are really true and also don't clog i have been very pleased with them would definately reccomend
 
I use CityInk Express refillable carts in my Canon Pixma 9000 with no problems. Colours as near as you could get to the origionals.

Well recommended.

I even use Aldi or Lidl A4 Gloss paper and thats flippin good too :D

The 4850 is the new version of the 4700, so I will go with refillable cartridges.
 
hi just installed the city ink express ciss on my ip4850, didn't take long and the few prints I have printed of look the same as the canon inks.

I had a look at the canon guarantee yesterday and it definitely said that your guarantee would be voided if you used non-canon consumables.

I'm not trying to pick an argument here because if you look at my other printer thread you'll see I've got serious blocked nozzle problems. What makes you say that the guarantee is still valid?
 
its illegal to do that - the only way they can void the guarantee is if they can prove the 3rd part consumables caused the problem. if your printer head stops moving they can't blame the ink carts for that.


same reason you can't void a car warranty just because you don't use the OE branded parts.
