Yes
I've just bought a little PowerShot S120 but it unfortunately has a fault with the rear rotary dual that is used when in manual to set the shutter speed (and to scroll through images in playback).

Does anyone know if Canon would repair it or has anyone had the same problem and fixed it themselves?

Great little camera and would like to get it fixed. (strangely my 70d has the same problem, so I presume it might be inherent to the mechanical arrangement inside the wheel)

I have an S120 and as you say it is a great little camera. Having said that I would think that any repairs would be more costly than the camera is worth.......so why not contact Canon and ask them for a quote?

You mentioned buying it, if faulty....... simpler to get a refund?

Unless it was sold as faulty, I would return it to seller. It would certainly cost more to repair, than the value of the camera.

edit... I wonder what the outcome was... 13 March. @drounding did you get it fixed?

Edit...

I wonder if he did manage to fix it. No reply since. :tumbleweed:
