Hi guys,

Does anybody know where stocks the Canon Pixma ip4700 printer that actually has any in?

MY Epson 1290 has given up the ghost :shake: so I need to get a new printer. I have heard good things about this one but can't find any in stock.

Thanks folks,

I tried to get one today. Tesco in Longton didn't have one, comet wouldn't sell me the display model, currys wouldn't price match comet so I stormed off in a huff  Jessops haven't got one in.

So I have come home and ordered one from Tesco direct (thanks Matt) used quidco so I should get a bit of cashback and a voucher for £5 off which will cover delivery.

Should be here on Monday. Hope it's as good as people reckon now.

Yeah i did that picked mine up from longton too  it is an awesome printer

if you get it and find out how to print onto cds or to get the paper in the front tray and not the rear could you tel me how  instructions did somewhat confuse me after a while lol.

Hi Matt,

It arrived about half an hour ago.

I'm just having a play with it now.

Plain paper goes in the bottom tray. You pull it apart and it expands to fit A4 then the plastic cover goes over the top of it.

I was massively dissapointed with the quality to start with on photo paper. Turns out I was using cheap paper (no idea where I got that from but it does say professional paper on the back  ) When I put the same image through on Kodak glossy it is brilliant

Ilford Satin is good as well.

Don't know how to print discs yet. I haven't bought printable discs in ages. The kids used to have an epson one that did discs but it died ages ago so I don't buy them any more. When this batch is gone I'll buy some printables and work it out.

Will have a play with it later see if i can work out the bottom tray

Yeah i have some dodgy paper too which is questionable but once i used the mirror resin gloss stuff i have its amazing although anything was comapared to my old epson thing which loved the colour blue

Just worked out that the cd tray goes into the middle behind the flap with the canon logo on it. You have to take a piece off the back as well so the tray can exit.

Not sure how you set it printing them though. I guess there must be a programme for it.
