Canon or Nikon

wow at this rate, I think I will go back to knitting, but thanks everyone for the input. will let you know what I decide..

This is the funniest thread ive ever read, hahahaha. Great stuff!

Canon was my choice by the way. And i know a dissapointed Nikon user who wants to trade in his D70 for a 350D.

Also look at the reviews of the kit lenses that you get with the packages. You may move on in time to better lenses but the lenses that you start with will determine your thoughts on the camera. Nikon's kit lenses are generally thought to be better

Best thig is to just try both and see what you think yourself both very good cams, remember your not just buying a camera you are buying in to a systen,Lenses, flashguns ect.you watch CSI you see Nikon you watch the world cup you see Canon.;)

remember that many pro photographers hire equipment for the day and a lot of the big hire companies use canon, which may be why you see so many pros with canon gear.

I'm Nikon through and through, I don't like the 400D at all, it has no LCD on the top any more, crazy.

It has been said and I'll say it again because it is the best advice you will find anywhere:

Go to a reputable dealer and do the hands on thing with at least two big name brands.

Once you decide which name you like better you can focus on a specific model and lens combination to suit your needs....

That seems like a more than fair trade, if only I had a 350D :woot:
