Hello
really need to hire a 24-70 2.8L canon for weekend 26th June, anyone got any good recommendation places that I dont have to get to London for collection and return?

Thanks

Have to agree that LFH is a great service....

Thanks everyone, and @scraggs, cheers, just booked the lens via Lens Pimp. 3 day hire £22 plus @23 for citilink shipping. Less aggro than two early train rides into London. LFH didnt have one available for the dates I wanted.

Next time you need one let me know.

Id be happy to loan you one in return for a review for the website or something like that.

Sharon Welcome to TP..:D I spend quite a bit of time on here and it's good to see you on here. I hope you don't mind me saying this but you should post a link to you flickr Page and definitely post some of your self portraits in the portraits section..

@DigitalDepot, wish Id come here sooner then, committed to that booking now, but will pop back into DD somepoint and have a chat. Thanks.

Ohhh Im only just finding my feet on here,

Im not sure how I do that, but will, thanks for the welcome.:)

Welcome ... and for future reference, it's lens not lens.

Be interested in your experience of lens pimp ... I'm a big fan of Lenses for Hire but Lens Pimp have the 500mm 4.0 VR available!

Same here..

I haven't heard of LensPimp until I opened this thread, their 7 day hires are roughly the same, however LensPimp are MUCH cheaper on 3 day hires, but the same can't be said for 14 day hires and longer, they pretty much just double the figure of the 7 day hire so the prices are quite extortionate when compared to LFH on longer hires.

I like that they hire out flashguns as well which could be handy since I don't own my own yet. Their canon range is quite small in comparison as well.

I'd be really interested on hearing feedback from people who've dealt with them. The customer service provided by LFH is absolutely excepetional and the people behind it seem very genuine and friendly. From browsing around on Lenspimp's site it doesn't seem as friendly and inviting as LFH, I can't quite put my finger on it, it all just seems a bit too corporate.. ?

For those looking for reviews of LensPimp, i will certainly vouch for them having used them twice now. Adham is the guy running the show, hes great and really very helpful!
Check out the facebook page, he's always there to answer any questions, the lens' are all packaged well, no marks or scratches, very clean

I've hired a Canon 10-22 and a 70-200 + a 1.4 TC
I would highly reccommend them.

I thought LensPimp was a totally excellent service. Couldnt fault it and will defo use again, for next wedding. Adham was a super lovely helpful guy!

i'd rather pay a little more for the customer service from Lenses For Hire.

I placed my order with Lens Pimp, had to ring to gain confirmation of hire, had to ring to check lens had been dispatched when it should have been, and had to ring to check it had been recieved back to HQ safely after the hire.

LFH, i didn't have to do any of that at all, all emails were sent to me, and when there was a problem it was dealt with swiftly, efficiently and with common sense!

LFH for me from now on

Edit: had a question which has been answered in the FAQ (I should have looked there first ;) )
