I have just purchased a Mac running OS-X. As a Mac doesn't have a disk drive, I have downloaded DPP and EOS Movie Editor but one of the most important pieces of software for me is the Imagebrowser for downloading from the SD card to the computer.

I have a 70D and I cannot find anywhere to download Imagebrowser from Canon's site. Can anybody help please? I found a download on CNET but I was a bit wary of it.

Why go through that trouble of finding, downloading, installing to move images from your camera to your computer when copy and paste works?

Thanks for the suggestions. The reason I don't copy and paste is that using Imagebrowser is handy as it knows which ones I've downloaded off the memory card already. I tend to do things in big batches, but if, for example, I've downloaded some shots of a holiday from part of a big batch, then Imagebrowser will know which ones haven't been downloaded. My memory card is then my back-up once downloaded until I have backed up properly at which point I will delete from the memory card.

I am running El Capitan 10.11. I found Imagebrowser for Yosemite 10.10. I think I've got that to unpack but I had to attach my camera and now it won't recognise it! Back to the drawing board. Someone else has suggested making an image of the CD on a USB stick, so will look at that, or attach a DVD drive. Surely downloading software should be easy in this day and age!

I find Imagebrowser to be worse than useless,I copy and paste as above and use the old zoombrowser,it's not perfect but it's the best browser I've found, when I've deleted all the crap and backed up the gooduns to another drive I format the card in the camera so it's nice and clean when I use it next.

After much Googling and perseverance, it's all sorted. The reason my computer wouldn't recognise my 70D is because even though the WiFi on it was turned off, it was set in the menu to 'Enabled' which disabled the USB on the camera.

I realised it wasn't a problem with the computer when the it recognised my G7X with the same cable. I couldn't install Imagebrowser without having the camera connected.

I've installed Imagebrowser for Yosemite 10.10 on the basis it should work with 10.11. Not yet tried it in anger!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Glad you finally got it sorted, Peter:)!
