This is OpenSource all grown up:

1. Get cheap Canon camera
2. Put two files on a memory card
3. Install card
4. Switch camera on
5. Err, thats it!
This gives you RAW shooting, up to 1.5 hours video, time lapse, new compression options, histograms, battery life indicator, motion sensor that reportedly can record lightening!
If you don't like it, just remove the files from the memory card.
