Canon grips

A while ago I bought a BGE 2 grip for my EOS 20D, I've since upgraded to a 40D & would like to know if the same grip will fit it, or if I'll need the 2N for it to work. Does anyone know?

Yes it will fit and work just fine.

can you not try and insert it in the camera ?

I can do now I'm at home, but I was at work & didn't have the grip with me, so thought i'd ask on here.

The only difference between these two grips is that the 2N has weather seals
