just bought a 35mm film camera, already have the 50mm 1.8 and the 70-210 f4 but wanted a wide angle for landscapes. The 28mm seems like it's a good choice, coming from the a6000 it would be about 18mm on that camera which is wide enough for me. It's just a bit too expensive to take a punt on (their around £40) so wondered what people's thoughts were on it
 
lovely, I've been using fd lens, since they were still available new, I've always had a 28mm/2.8. still got one now. i love the 24mm as well but they cost a lot more for a good copy. btw if you post in the film equip section you will probably get more/quicker replies
 
When I owed some canon kit the FD 28mm was the lens that saw the most use......Always produced sharp results like all the FD lenses that i had.

I appreciate that £40 for some folk is a lot of money, however in the whole scheme of things, for a WA lens, it's dirt cheap.

Perhaps you'll fall lucky and pick one up cheaper, however be careful that it doesn't backfire where you get one that has issues!
 
Sounds it would be worth a go then. I'd be fine with paying £40 if it's a good lens, I'd most likely only use the 28mm and the 50mm anyway, I have the 70-210 but I use that on my a6000
 
have a look at the cheaper 135mm fd as well, its great value for money and renders really well. great for portraits
