I've been offered a Canon EOS M including a
18-55 and a 22mm lens for £149 and I'm just wondering if it's worth the asking price?
I've paid very little interest in mirrorless camera bodies but I believe that the M is the first generation Canon mirrorless body released in 2012.
I'm not about to sell up my DSLR but I'd like to have a play with a mirrorless system to see what all the fuss is about.
I know that some of the mirrorless systems now have a viewfinder built in whereas the M doesn't and the idea of just a screen isn't overly appealing to me.
Your views would be appreciated.

I've got the M. Excellent picture quality, but to get the real feel of mirrorless cameras, I think you need an EVF. I also have the Fuji XT2 and adjusting setting whilst using a EVF is definitely preferable. (electronic viewfinder )

The 2 lenses are worth more than the asking price, the original M has a decent following, and you can upgrade the body later if you get the bug.

Take hand an' all! I would rather the M100, but as Phil says - the lenses are worth more than the asking alone, so long as all is in good nick. Get it, play around with it, see how you feel, you could always sell the camera on later to get one of the newer models. M100 for neat, compact or the M50 if you want an evf and articulating screen plus better grip

Bite their hznd off. The original M is effectively a mirrorless EOS650D, the 18-55 is a very well built and capable ‘kit’ lens and the 22mm prime is a super and no nonsense lens, one of the best 3 M lenses.

If all working properly, you hvave been offered a bargain.

If the bug takes you and you upgrade to a later body, the M Body with Magic Lantern installed is a super video tool.
