Canon EOS D1 Mk111

I am thinking of buying a D1 Mk111 as my main camera, i am using a D40 at the moment, i would like some feedback on the D1 Mk111 if someone is using one, interests are portraits landscapes and sport.

i've had one for a week now. i also have a 40D. the menus are the same structure, it's very easy to use, it's extremely well built and i love it to bits.

i haven't had much chance to take many shots with it yet, but the IQ of the ones i've managed so far is very much to my liking.

apart from the price will there be a big difference in the 5D to the Mk 3, you must be using the 5D yourself.

I do have my heart set on one..
