Just bought a Canon EOS 7 and currently using a Windows PC for image editing, would like to change to an iMac but wondering that with the new 'Lion' operating system will I need to update my canon drivers and software? If so can anybody tell me which versions will I require.
Thanks

I'd check on the Canon website to see if there's a firmware update for the 7D or try googling 7D and Mac software and there should be plenty of info on there. I do know the Mac has an issue with the 7D but can't remember which version works as I have a Windows PC.

Hi as far as i know if you get the latest release of canons software it will work with lion

I use a 50d and changed to a iMac from an XP/pc, also upgraded my mac to lion and no problems with software or driver's at any point.
Hope this helps.

There should be no issues of compatibility between camera and mac. I believe the software will work, but haven't ever tried to be honest. Lightroom and a 7d works fine, I know that.

I have both - not a problem, it all works fine with aperture, lightroom, iPhoto - think there may have been some issues with 3rd party software back when Lion was first introduced. Pretty sure the Canon software has all been updated but never need to use it. Once you go mac you won't go back!

I use a 7D and Lion. No problems at all.

Just load the mac versions of what you need (if any) from the cd that came with the camera and then visit the Canon web site and download the updates.
