Canon EOS 550d for an enthusiastic novice??

ok thanks for all the info people. im gonna have a play with the 550d and d90 i think. i understand each camera will perform great and since i wont be doing any large printing there wont be a noticeable difference so its all down to feel. and coming from my cheap kodak bridge camera either will be an enormous improvement. thanks again!!
 
I'd basically decided on the 550 before I had a feel of it. I went into my local currys to get a feel of it and decided it was the one for me within seconds. I'd been searching articles on the net about it for so long before I held it that I'd convinced myself it would feel right.
