I've been looking at new cameras and I'm interested in either the Canon EOS 500D which comes with an 18-55 mm Lens or The Nikon D5000 which also comes with a Lens 18-55MM.
I was just wondering on your thoughts of these cameras and which you would believe to be the better one.

Help please & thank you :)

The best advice is to go to a camera shop and feel them, buy the one you are comfortable with that is in your budget:thumbs:

Both are excellent Camera's and will do you well, I will recommend Canon because thats what I use, others will recommend Nikon or Pentax or Sony etc.

Get some in your hand and go with what you like best:D

May also be worth looking at 2nd hand kit as you tend to get more for your money:thumbs:

You'll find lots ...and lots ...and lots on the Canon vs Nikon debate on these forums - you won't go wrong with either - but i'd second the classified suggestion!

Like you say I'll ask if I would be able to look at the camera's in the shops I'll let you both know which one I choose in the end. Thanks again.

The only warning is that it is a slippery slop into lens lust and kit upgrades:lol:

The main thing is to have fun with it, take loads of photos, post them up on here and all the peeps will give you as much help and advise as you need:cool::thumbs:
 
For some reason when I upload photo's on here they don't show... I must be doing something wrong so when my boyfriend comes visiting me next weekend I'm gonna ask him to show me he's been on this longer than me ha :)
