Add an f2.8 lens to one and with the 45 point focus (same as the 1-Series) you have a very fast focusing bit of kit indeed.
Very tough and sturdy, especially if all you are used to are the likes of the 350/20/30D Eos cameras. Obviously not quite as tough as the 1 Series but they do have SOME weather sealing and you can pick up a good example for less than £300. I managed to get a second hand one for £285 in 2005 and then a brand new one for £295 late last year.
It's my current weapon of choice when on Safari. Please see my 'Hello/Intro and pics from Kenya' thread in the Animal and Nature forum for some results.
Where did you find a eos 3 for such a low price, I have been searching- I want a brand new one- and cannot find any with a lens for less than £900, I want a 28- 200mm zoom lens.
