Yes
A friend is looking at a Canon EOS 2000D and has asked my thoughts on it. I really can't comment due to not knowing the camera and my experience is limited anyway.

He is looking at it for the WiFi connection as he wold like to see the image on a tablet either before or after he has taken a photo.

Does anyone know if this camera does this successfully so I can give him some feedback.

Many thanks for your help.

Mick

Can't comment on the 2000D, I started with 1100D then 760D, the 760D had the WiFi for the app, it worked, has been a while and the app has had a lot of updates since I last used it.

The only thing I can say is, yes, it'll allow you/them to see an image before taking via the app as live view and allow you to view taken images, and download them for sharing.

Canons website suggests it's compatible.

Sorry I can't help anymore with the camera.

Being a recent EOS DSLR I am sure it will have no problems linking with your tab. Being a Nikon user I had the 1st model with 'SnapBridge' mode - 1s iterations were hopeless but it has been much improved since - that was nearly 9 years ago! Pentax Image Sync on my 2016 also works well with my iPad. The 2000D is newer than both I think...

It's a beginner's camera but it works ok.

I have one purely for astro as my M4/3 ear doesn't do too well in low light situations.

Coupled with my 70-200 F4L lens it's pretty good.

Never tried tethering with it though.

I have always maintained that the mid range cameras are better to use, and I'd suggest an older better camera every time.

But without research I don't know which cameras are the best bang for buck

A quick gander 77d

I myself would prefer to buy a better 2nd hand to be honest, but he has already ordered. I never thought to recommend something like this.

I've had two 77D's and honestly, it's a great camera. Only got rid because I wanted to go mirrorless, and ended up going Fuji, but I frequently pine for the 77D. Less than £400 for excellent condition ones on MPB.
