Hi all i know now it will fit my 400D

what kind of price would you expect to pay for a mint condition with no box as it was a kit lens off a 450D 2 weeks old second hand one and what would you look out for..looking at the IS to help my wobbly hands LOL.

It (and all other ef-s lenses) is designed to fit all of the cropped sensor bodies. This includes the 400D,450D,30D,40D etc.

Yes, all current canon camera bodies can accept EF lenses, but the crop sensor bodies are the only ones that can accept EF-S lenses as well, without modification or other issues.
 
I would reckon around the £80 mark, as a boxed new one is about £100.
 
I got an unboxed new 18-55mmIS for £99 from camerabox with a years warrenty.
 
Hi going to sell my kit lens 18-55 EF-S lens and buy the Image stabilizer, the guy is offering it at a good price so, i will keep you posted, how much should i ask for my lens, i was thinking of about £70-75 pounds... any ideas

If its the standard 18-55 lens, you're only looking at about £30-35, sorry!! :(
