Morning all.

I have been offered the above lens for £75 by a friend of mine. Firstly, what will it give me over my Sigma 70-300 (If anything) and do you think the price is realistic?

I'm basically interested as it's Canon as opposed to Sigma.

Really? I read a couple of online reviews and for the money it didn't seem too bad.
 
I have also read nothing but good things about the 75-300. :/

70-300 - excellent

75-300 and 90-300 varient, cheap for a reason.

I just sold a 70-200 F4 push-pull (late 80's) which was in a different league to the 90-300 I got with a 3000V last year - and cheaper too.

Hmm.. Ok, so 2-1 consensus is stick with the Sigma?
 
stick with the sigma, if he were offering you a 70-300 now that would be different :D
