Canon EF 70-200mm f4 L USM Lens

Has anyone got one of these lenses. If so what do you think of it or have you any piccies to share from it. This one doesn't have image stabilizer and I have noticed the one with is a rather lot more money.

If anyone could share any advice on this lens please.

I did notice on here before someone put a link to a site which compared the difference between the canon and sigma. But I can't find it now does anyone have a good link I could look at.

Its a great lens. I have one, you can see some examples on my flickr. Most of photos are shot with that lens. Also take a look HERE - loooooots of pictures
 
Very highly rated, as is the IS version - but it's nearly twice the price and very similar in price to the non IS 2.8L.

I've only had mine for a short while, but very pleased with it so far and don't regret not getting the IS :thumbs:
 
I use the-digital-picture.com for lens reviews, the 70-200 f/4 review can be found here. What sigma was it being compared to? The 70-200 f/2.8?

The 70-200 F4 is a great lens, been using mine in the last week, and loving the shots from it, had forgoten how good it was, here is a shot I took this week.

Excellent lens, especially for the money!

Did have one which was sold on here and replaced it with the 2.8 IS version for lower light use.

Highly recommend it. Sharp lens with stunning bokeh and AF performance for an f4 lens :thumbs:
 
I got one on Friday and I love it. Excellent bit of kit very impressed with it so far.

C'mon there can't be a tog alive that doesn't know the Canon 70-200's are all about as good a lens as you can find!

Which one you choose is down to depth of your pocket and if you think IS is a worthwhile piece of technology.

Certainly you don't need a bunch of random users on a forum to tell you their opinions...
 
Hi I have had mine for a few months and I love it to bits. bought it to photograph my sons scale model jets in flight. Not had chance to yet but trying it out on conventional large models has been a great success even without i.s. but I only need to take these shots in good light so can use a fast speed.
