Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II - ebay (£36.55) ??

Ordered one, can't not take the plunge at this price... :woot:

Hope it comes off but dubious due to the seller only having 21 feedback and that was from over a year ago.

Maybe a UK a seller, but that descriptions screams Chinese. Watching this thread with interest. Also be aware that all the feedback is as a buyer.

Smells a bit fishy, but if turns into a scam you should get money back.

Number for sale, non business seller, price on the low side even for Chinese.

Looks like a hijacked account, the person has never sold on eBay, and as others say, the small amount of feedback as a buyer is a year old.

As said above to many red flags flying on this one.

Never sold before but suddenly got 13 lenses to sell at a to good to be true price says it all realy

If it looks to good to be true then it probably is to good to be true.

We await the seller becoming NARU

Looks like the auction has been pulled, I did report the seller for the suspicious listing, first time ebay ever acted on my report if they did.

Paul

That's thoughtful considering the OP said he had ordered one... you could of given it a chance for it to turn up or not to turn up. He could possibly lose out now all together now.

Indeed.. Money taken from paypal, item also removed from my ebay purchase history..

Paypal transaction is listed as "unclaimed" with no option to cancel!

So, how do I go about getting my money back?

Not sure why its marked as unclaimed, unless the Paypal address was incorrect. Unclaimed payments are automatically returned to you after 30 days, although Ive always been able to cancel unclaimed payments in paypal so not sure whats happening here.

If you paid for goods that were not delivered for what ever reason you will get your money back from paypal, just start a claim after the required time has passed, if its not been claimed then that is probably because ebay & Paypal have taken the appropriate action to protect their users from any more fraud from that seller, is that not a good thing Chris Fallon or would you have preferred the seller went un-reported so he could rip many more customers off.

Let me know what you are buying and if I see anything suspicious I will keep quiet just for you

Calm down Paul. Don't spit your dummy out.
