Wilkinson cameras put this on special price today I called them they have stock not sure how much I'm so tempted as it's a superb price but there is a mk2 version due what do you guys think?

Yeah your probably correct I bought the mk2 version of the 70-200 more expensive than the 1st but supposedly worth it I guess it's a great deal for the 24-70 though could get most of the money back I think if a new one comes out
 
Just bought one of these - have been told that there is only 1 left at this price, so if you are looking for one, get it quick!
 
FYI I bought one of these and it arrived first thing this morning.

No complaints whatsoever - it's a full retail model rather than a white-box or split from a kit and the date code is UZ0619 so it was manufactured literally last month.

Suggests that new stock is coming through after the shortages of recent months - stands to reason that something as popular and in-demand as the 24-70 would be high on their list of things to manufacture and restock the supply chain.
 
Ordered mines today :) have read a lot about focus issues is this all rubbish ? Happy about those date codes :)
 
Mines arrived excellent packaging gave it a test no front or back focus issues and seems sharp :)
 
Yeah can't complain at the packaging - shedloads of bubble wrap!

Not surprised they've run out of stock at that price tbh. What does surprise me is that, with stocks so limited everywhere, they felt the need to do such an offer as I'm sure they'd have sold them all at £100 more than that.

Not that I'm complaining! :)

Yet to properly test mine for sharpness or focus issues but will do so at the weekend.
