Canon Ebay Shop.

I got my 350D on there for £230 and all was fine, has a 12 month warranty and arrived perfect in the box so i think its a good place to get them:D

HanC if you don't mind me asking how did you pay?? Paypal or using Credit/Debit Card. I get a bit nervous paying for things online, and i don't use paypal.

The Canon Refurb shop, is just that, Canons refurb shop :) so should be safe, just be careful bidding as sometimes the prices get a bit higher than they should when the red mist descends, set yourself a target and do not go over it no matter how good the deal looks :)

Well the best for 400D body only after cashback (1 day left!!) has been £330 i think. So realistically they gotta be selling for under 300 for me to bid. One has just gone for £285 +pp. I'm gonna watch a few to get a feel of how they go.

Do a search on this and other forums for Canon Outlet.

They are run by a company called Digital River and mine is a tale of woe:'(

I won an auction for a 5D and 24-105 on a Sunday in October, payed for the item within 15 minutes of the auction end. I got an e-mail that evening asking me to verify the delivery and billing address, which I replied to that evening. The next day I phoned them to confirm that all was OK with the order, only to be told that the order was cancelled and that they could give me no reason. I phoned them Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, still no reason or progress, (and no returned calls). So I bid for another on Thursday and won the auction. I immediately phoned them and payed with my credit card, explaining the problems I had with the previous auction and reading my address directly from the credit card statement, so there would be no problem. Guess what? I phoned the next day only to be told that the order had been cancelled, again no reason, or no returned calls.:bang: I was fuming. I phoned again on Friday, Monday and Tuesday, again no reason or returned calls even when I asked a supervisor to call me back as they were always unavailable to speak to. On the Tuesday, I was told that the order(s) would not be re-instated and still no reason for the cancellations.

I left negative feedback which they asked to be withdrawn, it was in mediation for a while, but the feedback still stands as it was fair and accurate feedback.

If you have read this far, the point is if you have a problem of any type with your order or product, their customer service is terrible, but they do respond quickly to negative feedback:thinking:

If you do a search, others have had similar problems.

Regards

Alex
:D Happy now beacuse I bought one at a great price from someone else on e-bay.

They sent me to a check out page and then i just used my card, yep. i would advise keeping an eye on them for a day or two as that does give u an idea of how much they go for with regards to how much u wanna spend:)

Had a look back at all their negative feedback and they just seem to cancel orders as an when they like without explanation.
I thought an auction win was binding, especially from a trader, it's not as if they can claim the item is no longer available.

I was wondering the same thing, I won my 5D's + 24-105 kits for £1504 and £1516. Maybe it was too cheap for them:shrug:
