hi all, ever since I first used my 350D, the pc to camera connecting thing has been hit or miss...well I've got zoombrowser successfully installed (and have used it before), and have the usb connector lead, and have the communications function set to pc connection...im trying to get it to work on remote shooting because i have an event comming up where i'll want the images transfered to pc as i take them....any ideas on what to do :(?!?

i think the canon cd has software to do it. or so i heard.

yea thats one of the zoombrowser function, but it aint playin ball

oh, i think i saw a thread on this recently, but god knows what to search for

System works OK on my 20D and 5D.

Try uninstalling all the Canon software and then re install, and go through the set up procedure again.

The other thing to check is the USB connection is OK . It's pretty short for most things so usually an extension is a good idea. But don't have this to long as you'll lose communication due to the distance. 5M I think is the limit without a reapeater.

d'oh...am gona try installing it on my laptop and see how that goes, may just be the installation on this desktop (arrrr!)

Nope, It's nothing to do with Zoombrowser but all to do with the EOS Utility software which is a stand alone program from Zoombrowser and not reliant on it. Check your 'Device Manager' whilst the camera is connected and see it Windows (I'm assuming you're using Windows XP here) is reporting an error. The most likely cause is the WIA driver is either not installed or installed after the camera was first connected.

I think!
