I have just uploaded some RAW files, but when I try to view them in DPP to adjust the white balance, and then to batch process the images into a TIFF file, I am unable to do so.

The images load up as a grey box with two diagonal lines through the box.

I cannot open the images to adjust the white balance, or to batch process them.

Never had this before.

Anyone got any ideas??
 
Absolutely positive. Guess I will need to reload the programme and see if that cures the problem. It is unique to my lap top as my pc opens these same file in DPP as RAW files and enables me to adjust white balance and batch process.
 
It's not something as simple as the version of DPP on the laptop not supporting the camera ?

The latest version on the Canon website is 3.10.2.0
 
I had this problem once before, and my dpp was out of date and didnt support my camera. I was given this link to update as apparently the uk site doesn't always have the latest software.(so I was told) I have just updated mine again from this link on a new laptop and appears to work fine.
 
Thanks everyone. Updated my DPP with the latest version and all is now working as it should. Thanks once again.
