Canon DPP

Am I best to use only canon DPP, or something else as well? I have Photoshop 6.
Also, help with DPP would be greatly recieved?
Any infor out there?

Assuming you're shotting in RAW:
I use dpp for the raw image . Adjustments as needed - colour temp, exposure, contrast etc. Convert to tiff.
Open in PSE7 for playing with layers and for cropping and sharpening.

I use a program called aperture top convert mine. DPP however, does get better results, it's sharpening is probably the best compared to any other package, only on Canon files. Although it is not as quick and lacks other capabilities I use in aperture. Hence I don't bother with it anymore.

I use DPP and Photoshop 6. I use DPP mainly for the RAW conversion and any tweaks with white balance etc that I would do at the same time. I use Photoshop for the rest of the adjustments.

DPP always for me and more often than not you don't need to go to PS at all unless you need special effects.

The way I look at it - DPP for RAW conversion and picture processing. Photoshop for art-work if you want it. I know not everyone works that way but that's the way I view it.
