canon DPP software

It comes with your camera - as far as I'm aware you can only get updates from Canon - not the original software?

Did you not get it with your camera? It should have been on a CD in the box.
 
Hi goody,i bought a 450d in september,the three discs in the box are,step up photography 2,instruction manual,and solutions disc,
am i missing the DPP ?

Assuming you bought it new, get in touch with the shop and they should send you the CD. I think you can only get updates on the Canon site from what I've read.
 
In which case, they should supply it to you. Shouldn't be a problem. I had the CD for DPP and a separate one with the instructions when I got my 450D, so it looks like you are missing 2 CDs.
 
Get in touch with Argos. Your contact is with them, and if you contact Canon, they will only refer you to the store you bought it from.

Installation
Make sure that at least one of the following applications is installed.
- Digital Photo Professional
- EOS Viewer Utility
- File Viewer Utility
- RAW Image Task

If the applications above are not installed on a PC running WindowsVista, make sure that you prepare one of the following CD-ROMs.
- EOSDIGITAL Solution Disk v1 to v17.x
- DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk v2
If you have any of this you can download it

Hi Chaz,sorry the only discs i have are step up photograhpy,instructions manual disk,solutions disk,thats it,i use a mac,thanks (well i try to new to this too :bang:)
 
Hi John,

I've just dug out my discs, and DPP is on the Solutions disc v18.0 that I had with the camera. All the programmes you need should be on there.

Well you wont beleive it i just got my old lap top out to see if it was on there,and guess what it was,and i have been looking every where for the disk,
its a good job you guys know what you doing because i dont :bonk::bonk:,
i am still trying to get my head round my new mac lap top,:lol:
