canon DPP software

Hi is the above sofware ok to install on a MBP straight out of the box,or do i need to download it from the canon website,

I assume you mean a Macbook Pro?

Yes, it should install straight off the CD, but I'd advise checking for the latest version and update it from the Canon web site.

(You will need a CD installed version to allow you to update it)

There has been a new version in the last month or so - version 3.7.2 is the latest.

HERE is a link for the 450D/XSi, you'll need to select your OS from the drop-down list.

on the PC you can download and install the latest updated version from the website and install that without bothering to install the old version off the cd first. It checks that the older software is already on the PC or on a disk loaded in your cd/dvd drive
