Canon Cashback...yet again

Sentt off my claim for Canon cashback 29.12,07 on the sameday I got the 40D. Followed instructions on the canon/promotions page. scanned the barcode and sent the it of via snailmail along with a copy of the receipt. I got a online reference number from them when I registered for a claim online. To date I have not heard anything email or otherwise. I sent off a email today asking for them to check the status of my claim.

Problem is tho' I have the receipt from Jessops I have sent off the barcode as required but it appears I have lost the barcode scan from the computer taken as a backup along with few other few photos. Their not in recycled and tbh I don't remeber deleting them. What do you think are my chances of getting my cashback?

I've got rescue pro which would scan the drive for photos but probably bring back lots more gigs of pics/scans than I have room for.

I only got my cashback about two weeks ago and I bought my camera at the end of November!
 
I got my emails 2 days ago to confirm the cash back and i sent them off end december. Seems its taking them a while. So long as we get the cash back though :)
 
before I got my cashback I did have a couple of emails mentioning that they had been inundated with cashback requests so they are probably still going through the backlog they may have.

This time I received the cash back later than sooner so seems like with every Tom, **** & Harry trying to get their hands on a Canon, they may have a lot of backlogs, so if I were you I would wait another week or 10 days...........
 
In my experience cashbacks can take quite a bit of time - stick to it and you'll get what you deserve.
 
I am changing ISP's in a few days, the email I sent them I gave them a different email address and a explantion that my old email addy will be useless in a few days...hope they take note.:|

There isn't any rumours or hard evidence of when the next one will be (or even if they will be doing it again).

Last year I think they had the first promotion in May so I would guess if there is going to be another this year it will start then.

Frank if you've not received the email acknowledgement from Canon by now I'd give them a ring if only to be sure they've received your claim. Also, I don't know what stamp you put on the envelope but it needed more than a bog standard first class stamp as it's effectively going outside the UK. I know some on here did exactly that and some got their cashback OK other have had problems. From Canon's point of view I can see they wouldn't to too enamoured if they had to pay excess postage on claims coming from the UK with only a UK first class stamp on it.
 
I'll give them a phone on monday, see what they say, I've got the online ref number so hopefully that should help. Possibly a first class stamp, I' can't quite remember tho' the wife posted it.
 
i sent mine off in september and got it at the end of december
