Canon Cash Back Problems

Hi All,
This is is my first venture into Talk Photography and I hope you can help.

I bought a Canon 30D , in January which was part of a £100 cashback deal.

However I am still trying to get the money out of Canon, although dealing with many hotlines and different people I am unable to get hold of anybody who is able to solve the problem.

Does anybody have any direct phone numbers of any managers at Canon who might be able to sort this problem.

I am getting to the end of my tether with them now.

I sent mine off in January, still not had anything back yet.

Got a 30D as well.
 
took a while with my 300d back in the day...
 
My cashback for the two TC's took long enough that I'd forgotten about it when it finally arrived. Nice surprise when I opened the envelope!

Somewhere on Canon's website is a table telling you roughly how long they are taking to deal with cashback applications at the moment.
 
i think about three months for mine - it will come, but it hurts to wait!
 
For a while there they were very quick. I got my cheques for the 300f4L IS, 580EX and the 1.4x. Great service I thought
 
My £100 dropped on my doormat this morning :D

It brings the cost of my 30D down to £560 :D :D
 
Yeah, i got my £70!
Quite surprised really, as i wasn't sure i sent it in time :D (i posted it on the very last day!).
 
I spoke to them 2 weeks ago, got straight through to a chap, gave him my details, he gave me 2 refferance numbers, and apologised that they were running extended lead times! I was really confirming that they had received everything.
2 weeks later as promissed payment credited!
I guess check they have your forms, then be patient, it will arrive.
 
Can anyone help with any contacts at the Canon HQ. I have being trying since end Nov to get the cashback for my daughters 400d, we sent our claim forms in the same envelope, i got my cheque within a month but since then have written letters spoken to countless people at Canon but not getting anywhere at all. Any ideas please!

I think that might be your problem. I believe the cashback deal only applied to purchased made on or before 31st December.
 
I think he was meaning January 07, bit of an old thread this one :D

Canon do not administer the cashback, its done by a company in Ireland on Canons behalf, even the cheques arnt issued in the uk, I think that's the Netherlands.

You need to be talking to the cashback people in Ireland, check on canon site for cashback and their should be a number for you to call.
 
I bought my 40D with the cashback promotion that started 1 March 08. Sent the paperwork off 10 days later, just had confirmation they have received it and a link to a website to track the application. All the website says is "your application has been received". So I guess I will just have to wait.
