This is just to make public some of what this bloke has done to help me. Not just replies to questions and very good advice, not just PM's when needed, but he has also sent me dvd's totally free and recently, sent me a lens, at his cost, just to see if I like it - I happened to comment that a lens for sale another member was selling was one I might have been interested in if I had the cash, and he PM'ed me, offering to lend it to me for a few months so I can try it out...
How wonderful is that !
I gather I am not the only person he has done this to, so a public THANKS is in order.
Canon Bob - we salute you.

He's a thoroughly nice chap isn't he :) We've had a few PM conversations with him too.

Rather decent bloke IMO :)

Maybe Bob, but for me, you are one of the best at helping out here - not to put down others who are at this very minute forming a long line to give me cameras and lenses..
 
Its nice to see a true gentleman in this otherwise strange world. An example to us all.

Canon Bob kindly gave me some memory he no longer had use for so a big thank you from me as well.
 
I always thought "Canon" related to photography, I didn't know it referred to his near "Saintly" status :lol:

They can read it if they want...it was a copy of Elements that came bundled with a scanner I bought....all strictly legit.

I've spent the whole afternoon with my "briefs" (too cold to leave them off) and decided that legal action will commence on two counts....namely;

1) Libel
2) Deformation of character

IS there anything you wish to say by way of atonement?

its slander saying bob likes nikons, deflammation of charactor, no one would sink so low as to admit to liking nikon :P
 
Yes, a great guy, I was another who was offered the loan of a lens from Canon Bob.
I hope to meet up with him the back end of June when we go to our usual holiday cottage near Witney.

BTW. Canon Bob I bought the Canon 100mm macro from Kerso on Wednesday, but have not used it yet.
