I was at an event for three days last week with my 77d and three batteries (one that came with the camera and two OEM).
The batteries are LP-E17 which are rated for 600 shots (CIPA whatever that is) in the 77d, I did not have to change batteries on any of the days, shot with the canon original battery over the course of 8 hours. Mix of mainly viewfinder but some live view pics as well, pic review turned off but I would say I checked (and zoomed in) on 10% of the pics.
Thursday 2,791 shots (jpeg about but shot jpeg and raw)
Friday 2,581 shots (jpeg only)
Saturday 1,342 (jpeg only)
I don't understand how I can be getting so many more shots that in the specs! A few maybe but more than 4x the quoted amount!
Does anyone else get loads more shots than the book says from one battery or have any idea why I am getting this?
