Canon Battery Grips on eBay

I have a Phottix BP-40D, it does exactly what it says on the tin

but unless I'm doing lots of portait stuff I never use it, with two batteries it increases the camera weight by over 420g

30D + 70-200 f2.8 + battery grip = sore neck :'(

I would be very careful of buying a cheap copied battery grip.
I've seen a few posts here where people have mentioned them causing a problem and breaking Canon bodies.
I don't own a grip so I am in no posistion to comment.
Do a search and you should find the relevant threads.

I too have a Phottix BP-40D and it gives excellent service and has never caused a problem.

I have this exact grip from the same supplier in your link. I bought it with two batteries. It was delivered in good time and looks and feels a quality piece of kit and is an exact copy of the Canon BG-E2 grip.

I've used it a few times, including the duration of a wedding last weekend, with no problems at all. At less than half the price of the Canon model, with two batteries included, this is an absolute steal.

I have one of the generic aftermarket ones on my 350D, fits perfectly and all the wee buttons work fine. batteries that came with it were rubbish though so I replaced them. No complaints here.

Does any1 know for how much Kerso sells bg-e2n ??
