Hi,
This lens is amazing for me (and has practically paid for itself) if I shoot with LV. If I use viewfinder I have yet to get a single keeper (have taken a couple of thousand shots so far). I've spent the weekend grappling with MFA and it seems, as suspected, to front focus on VF AF. Chart suggests it needs something around +11 MFA. However, an afternoon in the garden with various people still looked front focused, even if I tweaked it. Am beginning to wonder if it will ever focus well on VF and if it needs to go back. If you look in Canon DP, with AF point highlighted, you clearly see the red box is in the right place, but it is missing focus, which usually appears slightly in front. Live View AF renders tack sharp results.
Any comments before I send it back would be welcome! Am going on holiday Friday, so no time to get it fixed beforehand. I can tell myself not to use VF, but I know I will forget, and in bright sunshine I will have to squint a lot to use LV....
