I've Been hit with a dilemma, I've been taking pictures with my canon d60 for a few months and although great to learn the basics with, I think it maybe time for an upgrade! I've popped into a local photography shop and played around with the canon 60d and the 7d, I feel more at home with the 60d but I feel the 7d will be better in the long run, but just can't make up my mind, any advice or personal reviews on either camera would be appreciated,

I think the 7d is pure awesome :) I know definitely the 7d has weather sealing, magnesium body, different memory card, less shutter lag, better autofocus, faster frame stills shooting rate.

There's not much in it really depending what it is you want it for.

Edit: from a personal perspective the autofocus system does it for me. I don't miss the tilt LCD

This is something i've been thinking about for a while now too. If its purely for stills then I wold say the 7D for sure as its better built, has faster frame rate, bigger buffer etc. If your looking to shoot movie aswell though and want a very good all rounder then maybe the 60D as the fully articulated screen could be of benifit.

Cheers

Woah! Deja vu, or what! Last time I said -

Do you often need to shoot things that move around quickly (wildlife and/or sports)? If so then you'll appreciate the better AF and faster frame rate of the 7D. Otherwise I'd go for the 60D. Image quality, size, weight, build quality and ergonomics are all too similar to make a significant difference.
