Canon 7D & 15-85mm @Argos £1033

Mine arrived today.

Delivery note does everything possible to completely conceal who it's actually from.
Only thing I've got with Argos on it is ths original email confirmation.
Just why is it so difficult for some companies to provide a proper paper receipt. :bang:

Just got to decide what to do with it now, do I open it. :thinking:

I've got a 60D & a 17-55mm already so could maybe sell the 60D and the new 15-85mm, that may be an idea. Decisions decisions.

I'm in the same boat. I've also got a 60D and 17-55mm and not sure what I'll do. That's impulse buys for ya! I think I'll do the same and off my body and new lens. Although I'm constantly been drawn into the whole full frame thing
 
Was called on Tuesday by 'Argos' on an 01404 number to arrange a delivery for yesterday. Nothing appeared.
So I contacted Argos and they said oh we'll leave a message for the supplier to which I replied I already took a day off work so I need a definitive delivery day. She didnt know who the suppliying company are but I see that its probabaly Direktek.
So at the moment i'm trying to contact Direktek, but with no success.

I was out when they phoned me on Wednesday, but used the above number which had been recorded on 1471.

Got mine on Friday, went out today to give it a spin - I love it :-)

Happy to share the info and Im glad a few people benefitted from it, credit to HUKD tho for the first mention.

I'm sorry to learn you have had your claim rejected. I wonder what we did different.

I downloaded the claim form and filled it in manually. I also sent a copy of the Argos order confirmation, together with a copy of the courier delivery note. This was all posted first class on Monday and the email arrived on Friday.

I wonder if anyone else has had their claim rejected and for what reason.
 
I've just submitted my claim online, hopefully it goes through OK. I PDF'd the email order confirmation and appended a picture of the delivery note on the end. The email contained the £10 argos code so I'm hoping they're not cheeky and use it!

Rob, do you get a chance to appeal the rejection or anything? Are you confident the serial number you entered was correct? I used a 10 digit numerical number from the bottom of the lens barrel.

They are very welcome to use my voucher code. The code can only be used on "Home Delivery" purchases and does not cover the delivery charge. If anyone wants to try my code, PM me and you can give it a try, but it has to be used by the 24 December. :)

There is also a possibility that the code is customer specific!

Not yet but i did have to send them a picture of the lens as proof.
 
I had confirmation it had been approved on the 15th Dec, waiting for BACS payment now. Sounds odd you had to supply a photo of the lens, guess it's a spot check thing.
 
There was a thread on pistonhead regarding this, IIRC two people had their orders processed and are now in pocession of their cameras. I was gutted i wasnt in a position to buy one, im pleased some people manage to get them selfs a bargain though.
