A friend just came around to try one of my batteries, but no joy.
He owns a Canon 70D that he has had for about 2+ years. He bought it new from Wex. He hadn't used it for 3 days, turned it on and nothing. He tried his other batteries that he bought with the camera, and nothing.
The camera is showing no signs of life what so ever. He looks after his gear and the camera looks like new. I have no idea what might have caused this. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

my mate had this happen to his 10 weeks ago same problems it was the main board in the end lucky he had a week left of warrenty the camera was bought used from a camera shop....

Could be the fuse on the main board or the battery compartment door not closing properly?

Thanks. I shall pass these on. The battery door was closing properly.

Anyone else with a thought to the problem?

Why not take it to a camera shop or send it off to Canon. I'm sure they would be able to help you better than on here.

Because where we live the nearest camera shop is 30 miles away, and before sending it to Canon he was wondering if other people had the same problem.
