Not much use for anybody shooting with a full-frame camera, though. Plus no autofocus, no image stabilisation, and it costs US$70,000. I can't see it being very popular.Well how about a 50-1000mm zoom? Canon in fact had made one as a challenge! https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/...-History-of-Canon's-CINE-SERVO-50-1000mm-Lens
I hope they keep making a non IS 70-200 F4
I still use mine that I bought in 1996 it's an excellent really lightweight lens that's always on my second body
I think I'm right with the date I bought it just after the 350 D body came out
Ahh I see thanks my maths or memory isn't brilliantyour out by 10 years or so the 350d body was introduced in 2005/6
saying that i have a 300m f4L from the mid 90's still going strong so the lens could very well be from the mid 90's if you bought it used
Probably and the current f4 version. See my first post in this thread #3horrible thought time.....a 70-200 mkIII ..does this mean it wont be long before canon arn't supporting the mkII ?![]()
As they're still producing it, Tony, then you have at least another 7 years before it's time to worry.horrible thought time.....a 70-200 mkIII ..does this mean it wont be long before canon arn't supporting the mkII ?![]()

I agree. Canon introduced the Mk II in 2010 but they supported the Mk I until 2017.As they're still producing it, Tony, then you have at least another 7 years before it's time to worry.
