Ordered one today:lol: now it's like waiting for xmas, also a 1.4x mk11.
I'd decided a while back that I wanted both and have been selling bits on fleebay to raise some funds, also the prices seemed to have dropped.
The 1.4 was £219 delivered and the 70/200 £1709 delivered both being able to pay by paypal.
Now all I have left on my shopping list is a 300 f4 L and a spare battery and I'm shopped out.

I have the mk I , but the mk II is definitely on my list. Review when you get it please!
 
OMG :eek: Well they have both just arrived, either I'm cool hand Luke or the IS is someting else, with the 1.4x handheld at full zoom I've just taken 5 shots indoors.
The .5 sec ex was blured :|
but the 1/5th 1/10th and 25th of a sec are all pin sharp :shrug: gobsmacked!!
First impression on taking it out of the box was "this is heavy"
 
Good lord, they've released an 11th edition?

Here was me thinking we were still on the Mark II :p
 
They both came from ebay, the 1.4x from Rob's Camera Store £219 (7000 + feedback) and the lens £1699 from DigiGood (125,000+ feedback)

Hi Richard,

May be a daft question but why do you need a 300 when you have a 200 plus 1.4 converter surely if you want to go bigger thats an expensive extra 20mm ?
