Canon 70-200 F4L USM Question

Being a complete newbie to photography I have a couple of question about this lens

1. If I use it with a 1.4 or 2.0 x TeleConverter am I right in think I will get a reduction in aperture to F5.6 on the 1.4 and F8 and the 2.0?
2. Will I still be able to use autofocus?
In case it makes a difference I now have the Canon 70D

1. Yes that's right.
2. 1.4 which stops down to F5.6 still auto focuses as I have that one. 2.0 not sure, doubt it.

I'm using the Canon 70-200 F4 non IS with Canon 7D.

I believe you can only autofocus at f/8 with the 1D bodies(and some bodies with center point only, but I'm not sure which). I'd probably just get the 1.4 anyway.

On your body, yes the Canon 1.4TC will work and still allow AF.
